Job Summary: Equinox Engineering is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience in EPCM or related engineering fields. The successful candidate will play a key role in civil/structural design, ensuring project requirements are met while maintaining compliance with industry codes and standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and analyze structural designs for oil and gas facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructures. Knowledge of Civil and Earthwork design experience is an asset. Perform structural design calculations, prepare engineering sketches, and review drawings. Prepare and review technical documents, including reports, specifications, and material take-offs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design consistency and alignment with project objectives. Conduct site visits to support data collection, assessments, and construction activities as required. Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. Provide technical support during design reviews and construction phases. Maintain accurate documentation and follow quality control procedures. Key Skills Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, including steel, concrete, foundation and civil design. Software Proficiency: Experience with engineering tools such as RISA, STAAD, Mathcad or equivalent software. Good knowledge of using 3D modelling software for review and navigation. Analytical Skills: Ability to perform complex structural calculations and interpret engineering data. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for collaboration and technical documentation. Attention to Detail: Commitment to producing accurate and thorough work. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical challenges efficiently. Teamwork: Collaborative mindset and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering (required). 5+ years of experience in EPCM, oil & gas, or industrial structural design. Professional Designation: P.Eng. or eligibility for registration with APEGA. Familiarity with engineering codes and standards (e.g., CSA, AISC, ASCE, API).
