Information Technology Quality Analyst

OverviewThe Information Technology Quality Analyst role at Citi focuses on quality assurance within IT. This is a developing professional position that handles most problems independently with latitude to solve complex issues. It requires integration of in-depth specialty knowledge with industry standards and practices, understanding how the team and area connect with others to achieve subfunction/job family objectives, and applying analytical thinking and data analysis methodologies. Attention to detail is important for making judgments and recommendations based on factual information. The role involves dealing with variable issues with potential broader business impact and applying professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Communication and diplomacy skills are required to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. The role has moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses\' core activities, and the quality and timeliness of service affect the effectiveness of the team and related teams.Responsibilities:Supports initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production. Works with technology project managers, UAT professionals and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for an application testing strategy/approach.Conducts moderately complex process monitoring, product evaluation and audit assignments; reports issues and makes recommendations for solutions.Ensures project standards and procedures exist, are clearly documented and followed throughout the software development life cycle; recommends enhanced documentation.Monitors products for conformance to standards and processes for conformance to procedures.Documents findings and performs preliminary root cause analyses to provide recommended improvements.Ensures all corrective actions are assigned, documented and completed.Verifies traceability in project work products.Gathers, maintains and creates reports on quality metrics.Shows understanding of procedures and concepts within own technical area and basic knowledge in other areas.Requires basic understanding of how own area integrates within IT Quality to achieve objectives.Makes evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information and resolves problems using technical experience and precedents.Directly impacts the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams.Provides informal guidance to new team members and performs other duties as assigned.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, safeguarding Citi and its clients and assets, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:3-5 years Quality Assurance (QA) experience in the Financial Service industry preferredStrong experience using QA Automation tools like Selenium for both UI & API Automation using JavaExposure to Playwright and CI/CD integration with Jenkins/OpenShiftProficient in building Automation frameworks from scratch with strong Java skillsDemonstrable knowledge of Core Java, SQLPython (Good to have)Required technical skills: Java, TypeScript, DBMS, GIT, Bitbucket, JIRAExperience in requirement reviews and able to identify, communicate and document discrepanciesUnderstanding of QA within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologiesUnderstanding of Quality ProcessesStrong analytical capabilities with attention to detail and problem-solving; ability to meet deadlinesClear and concise written and verbal communication skillsQA experience in defining, designing and executing test casesEducation:Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experienceJob Family: TechnologyJob Function: Information TechnologyIndustries: Banking, Financial Services, and Investment BankingTime Type: Full timeMost Relevant Skills: Please see the requirements listed above.Other Relevant Skills: For complementary skills, please see above and/or contact the recruiter.Citigroup is an equal opportunity employer.
