Facility Support Engineer – Mechanical (Data Centers) Greater Quebec City Metropolitan Area Base pay range: CA$106,000.00/yr – CA$126,000.00/yr About the Role Ascendion is a full‑service digital engineering solutions company that builds and manages software platforms. As a Facility Support Engineer – Mechanical, you will support the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems in a critical data center environment. Responsibilities Provides necessary escort to third‑party contractors, sub‑contractors, vendors, and service providers on site. Works on tasks (e.g., making rounds, initial assessments on equipment performance) assigned with supervision. Performs basic monitoring of the performance of maintenance and operations of equipment (electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety) within the data center with supervision. Visual or non‑intrusive preventative maintenance. Single CRAH preventative maintenance. AHU filter replacement. Eyewash and duress button preventative maintenance. VESDA alert or supervisory (low air flow). Ensures all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work and complies with all physical security procedures and policies. Follows operating procedures (SOPs) for critical environment planned work activities. Generator (quarterly and annual) PM. Experience with roof‑top units (RTU) HVAC. Experience with industrial chillers preventative maintenance. Experience with fire pump & fire alarm preventative maintenance. Required Skills Experience with mechanical systems in a high‑availability assembly / manufacturing / critical infrastructure environment such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharma, or related fields. 5+ years work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g., automotive, electrical, controls, data center). Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 12‑hour shifts, rotating shifts, and 3‑, 4‑, or 5‑day work weeks. Basic understanding of how to use MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). Salary Range The salary for this position is between CAD 106,000 – CAD 126,000 annually. Pay may vary based on geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
