The department is a high‑volume, well‑supported unit in a multicultural community close to downtown Vancouver. This is a well‑remunerated practice with stable and supportive colleagues, and it is affiliated with UBC Medical School as a popular Emergency Department rotation. Qualifications Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in Emergency Medicine, or College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP‑EM) Emergency trained and certified, or ABEM certified. Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. US‑certified class of registration from CPSBC is acceptable. Redevelopment Project Burnaby Hospital is undergoing a multi‑year redevelopment. Phase 1, targeted for completion in 2025, will include a mental health and substance use unit, maternity unit, neonatal ICU, and new medical unit. In 2025, the Emergency Department will receive a new acute‑care and psychiatry area and significant expansion of the rapid assessment zone. Compensation Compensation Type: Fee‑for‑Service.
