OverviewMechanical Engineer, Buildings at WSP in Canada (Edmonton, Alberta) – join a leading professional services firm on a global team. This role focuses on applying mechanical engineering knowledge to project work across commercial, residential, retail, mission critical, health care and various institutional buildings.WSP's Electrical & Mechanical team designs healthcare, educational, commercial, residential, recreational and light industrial facilities, with emphasis on large and complex projects, sustainable developments, and delivery methods including Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). If you are eager to work on exciting projects and contribute on local, national and international stages, this is a great fit.ResponsibilitiesApply mechanical engineering knowledge to project work in the areas listed above (commercial, residential, retail, mission critical, health care, institutional buildings).Collaborate with team members on design development and delivery for healthcare, educational, commercial, residential, recreational and light industrial facilities.Contribute to projects involving sustainability, complex designs and alternate delivery methods.QualificationsUniversity degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.Currently registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or E.I.T. with APEGA or another Canadian province/territory.3+ years of related experience.Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).Proven working knowledge with Revit.Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, including the National Building Code, ASHRAE, and NFPA.Employment DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Engineering and Information TechnologyIndustry: Professional ServicesAbout UsWSP is a global professional services firm with a purpose to future proof cities and environments.
