With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy.What You’ll Be DoingDesign, simulate, and evaluate robotic and automation systems.Collaborate with fellow engineers, project managers, plants, and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and scope of the robotics and automation projects.Develop, prototype and test computer vision, sensor and other tools for robotics and automation innovations for McCain.Assist in development of simulation capabilities for effectively checking the feasibility and measuring the performance of envisioned robotics and automation solutions.Assist in project management, developing solution matrix and lead projects when needed.Maintain knowledge of existing and developing technology and trends in sensing, simulation, robotics and automation.Support the Innovation team in activities relating to research, development, innovation, and patent drafting.Support development of MARS (McCain Advanced Robotics System).Maintain, operate and engineer various test benches at Robotics CoE.Assist in the operations of the Robotics Center of Excellence (COE).Perform other related duties as assigned.What You’ll Need To Be SuccessfulBachelor’s and/or tertiary qualification in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Robotics, Computer Engineering or Computer Science1-2 years of relevant experience in robotics, vision, automation and/or simulationExperience and comfortable working in a matrix organization with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholdersExperience in simulation and modelling robotic systems using industry standard software toolsRole is primarily based on-site at the Robotics Center of Excellence in FrederictonWillingness to travel internationally up to 10%Flexibility to work across multiple time zonesAbout McCainClick Here to learn more about McCain and how we provide you with opportunities to make an impact that matters.Leadership principlesAt McCain, our leadership principles guide how we engage with customers, collaborate as a team, and achieve success.
