Facilities Planner/TechnologistNanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools is seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Planner to join our Facilities and Operations team. This position plays a key role in ensuring our schools and support facilities provide safe, efficient, and inspiring environments for students and staff.The Facilities Planner will support the development of long-range facility plans, coordinate capital improvement projects, and collaborate with district leaders, architects, engineers, and community partners to align facility planning with the district’s educational goals.We are looking for a professional who brings expertise in facilities planning, construction, or project management—someone who values collaboration, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating high-quality learning spaces.If you’re passionate about designing and maintaining environments that help students and educators thrive, we encourage you to apply and be part of shaping the future of NLPS.Your Education and ExperienceHigh school graduation or the equivalentGraduation from an ASTTBC accredited diploma program in a related technology, with and five years related experience, and a minimum of three (3) years experience in project management or an equivalent combination of education and experienceEligible for registration with ASTTBC as a certified technologistStrong interpersonal skillsA thorough working knowledge of MS Office products, and an understanding of operating systems, networking and GIS softwareThorough and current working knowledge of computer-assisted drawing programsValid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s LicenseWorking knowledge of the trades as applicable to the duties of this positionWage $40.23 per hour.
