We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Mandarin speaking tax professional at the Manager level in our dynamic and growing Asia Pacific Network tax practice. As an integral member of this team, you will work closely with KPMG Partners to provide tax advisory and compliance services to a vast array of clients while supporting the evolution of the practice and driving engagements across the Asia Pacific Network. What You Will Do Leading client engagements. Working closely with a Partner as a senior team member on tax planning work for clients. Planning and organizing teams for the preparation of tax returns and conducting and presenting tax research. Reviewing the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness. Become part of the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients. Providing ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staff. Working with other office members in attracting new work to the firm. What You Bring To The Role 5 years' experience in a public accounting firm, 3 years in a dedicated Tax role. Fluency in Mandarin and English is a requirement. Professional Accounting Designation. Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field. Completed, or nearly completed the CPA In-Depth tax course. Excellent people management skills. Highly motivated individual with a passion for learning and a desire for growth. Excellent client service skills with the ability to understand the client’s business. Aptitude for building trusting relationships with broad groups of stakeholders, prospects, and clients as well as diverse family members. Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and/or family businesses and have a strong understanding of their needs and of the issues they face. Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism in the performance of duties. Strong project management and organizational skills. Effectively manages conflicting demands and priorities. Gives others the opportunity to take on new tasks and responsibilities. Emphasizes on quality and adds value in their client offerings and services. Strong project management and organizational skills. Able to instill enthusiasm in others to achieve desired results. Able to provide persuasive and self-assured responses to challenging questions. KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information The expected base salary range for this position is $85,500-$128,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
