You will be relied upon for your strong technical expertise, your excellent communication skills and executing best practices to provide direction for settling and managing claims. As a strong collaborator and team contributor, you will build great relationships and provide an exceptional customer journey experience.What you’ll do hereReview and analyze coverage, including the preparation of Reservation of Rights letters, coverage, and other communicationDevelopment of resolution strategies by evaluating the nature of loss, liability, damage, applicable limits, and deductible where coverage has been confirmedDirect legal counsel and independent adjusters on investigation and settlement of complex claimsAnalyze expert reports and litigation documents as it relates to the facts and allegations of the claimIdentify and assess serious injury/damage losses, and risk management issues and report them in a timely manner as per applicable reporting protocolsMaintain detailed claim files and prepare comprehensive reports as well as concise file summaries for ManagementPromptly update reserves, request payment, and respond to correspondence from external partiesProvide superior customer service by building and maintaining excellent business relationships with our key stakeholders including our Insureds, Brokers, and Underwriting colleaguesAttend mediations, pre-trials and other litigation milestones with counsel as necessaryAdhere to all internal Claims Best PracticesWhat you bring to the table10+ years of related experience with a strong emphasis on casualty liability claims handling and insurance litigationActively taking or completion of CIP’s, CRM and/or licensed in the legal professionUniversity degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the roleDemonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent understanding of insurance coverage issuesDemonstrates strong problem solving, analytical and priority management skillsSelf-motivated and goal oriented, capable of working in a fast paced and changing environmentExperience handling municipal claims is an assetThis role is eligible for employee referral bonus. #myReferrals3000#LI-Hybrid#LI-MS1#IPEWhat we offerOur hybrid work model provides the balance between working from home and enjoying meaningful in-person interactions.Working here means you'll be empowered to be and do your best every day.
