You’ll:Develop and review 3D models and detailed mechanical layouts using AutoCAD, Plant3D, and other design platformsEstablish and refine drafting standards and QA/QC procedures for deliverablesCheck and validate drawings created by junior team members and ensure accuracy of detailsManage time across design phases to ensure efficient project deliveryMentor junior staff, providing guidance and technical developmentContribute to feasibility and detailed mechanical design for shaft infrastructure, ventilation, and processing systemsVisit mine sites to validate designs and stay connected to field conditionsCollaborate with clients, cross-functional teams, and other WSP disciplines for integrated solutionsAssist with cost estimating for proposals and front-end project developmentUphold WSP’s safety culture and valuesWhat you'll bring to WSPA College Diploma (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering Design10+ years of industry experience with exposure to mining operationsExperience in managing and mentoring junior staffA valid driver’s license; ability to work both in the field and in the officeProficiency in AutoCAD and Plant3D; familiarity with Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, Bentley AutoPLANT, Civil3DClear, confident communication skills in English — verbal and writtenExcellent organizational and time-management skillsA commitment to safety and excellence aligned with WSP’s cultureAbout UsWSP is one of the world’s leading professional services firms.
