The Quality Control Technician works in our production environment, conducting electrical testing and ensuring quality adherence of ABB’s Reliability switchboard product line. This role meets or exceeds customer and electrical code expectations using pre‑defined test plans. The role requires a team‑player mentality, working daily with manufacturing and quality personnel to drive the process and ensure a quality product. Location: Saint‑Laurent, Quebec, Canada Responsibilities Perform pre‑inspection of mechanical and electrical assemblies to ensure compliance with bills of materials, schematics, and drawings. Interpret electrical schematics and conduct tests on assemblies (dielectric, continuity, torque, device configuration, functionality). Document and report quality issues using the Autodesk build platform. Provide on‑floor support to manufacturing teams to ensure adherence to quality standards. Issue non‑conformities and verify corrective actions on products; record all test results in ABB’s quality documentation system. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment. Maintain a strong safety‑first approach and apply electrical safety practices. Requirements College diploma (DEC) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience testing electrical products or systems. Bilingual – French required and English for communication with clients outside Quebec. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics; experience with UL or CSA standards is an asset.
