DeFi Application Full‑Stack Engineer Location: Remote - USA, Canada, and Puerto Rico (considered) Compensation: $150K - $200K We lead the field in quantitative research and optimization of decentralized finance (DeFi) economics. We manage market risk, optimize growth, and ensure economic safety for protocols facilitating most spot trading, borrowing, and lending activity across all of DeFi, protecting and optimizing the largest protocols and networks in the industry, which secure and manage over $42 billion in customer assets. Join a newly formed product pod focused on our next‑generation decentralized application (dApp), which allows users to deposit and withdraw into vaults directly. This is a critical, high‑impact initiative to evolve our current dashboard into a direct revenue‑generating product. You will provide technical leadership in a remote‑first environment, building a robust, user‑facing experience at the heart of our business. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of full‑stack features for our core decentralized application, ensuring high performance and scalability Partner closely with front‑end engineers to deliver cohesive and seamless user experiences Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing Engage in systems design and architecture discussions to build robust backend services supporting the application Participate actively in code reviews and design sessions, promoting best practices and high‑quality code standards Collaborate with product managers and researchers to translate requirements into effective technical solutions Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues to maintain system reliability and performance Essential Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on full‑stack engineering Language Proficiency: Strong proficiency in TypeScript for full‑stack development Backend Skills: Solid experience with backend systems and APIs, including systems design and architecture Product Focus: Proven ability to design and implement user‑centric applications, emphasizing seamless user experiences Flexibility: Familiarity with Python or the ability to be language agnostic Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other engineers and mentor team members Problem‑Solving: Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills with a focus on the entire application development lifecycle Bonus Points Interest or experience in DeFi concepts like decentralized applications (dApps) and on‑chain interactions History utilizing, at any level, technologies and languages like Solidity or Rust Familiarity with financial technology (fintech) products and user experiences, particularly those that handle monetary transactions or sensitive user data Experience developing and shipping user‑facing features using component‑based UI frameworks such as React Experience working in smaller teams or startups, demonstrating broad technical versatility Background working with data pipelines or tooling, including ETL processes, orchestration tools, and integrating data flows in production environments Benefits Work Model: Remote‑first—work from anywhere in the US & Canada Regular in‑person company retreats and cross‑country "office visit" perk Compensation: Competitive packages including base salary ($150K – $200K), on‑target cash bonuses (OTE), and equity refreshers, in addition to your initial equity grant based on our Series B valuation Healthcare: 100% paid medical, dental, and vision premiums for employees Time Off: Unlimited vacation policy and 12 weeks of 100% paid parental leave Stipends: $1,000 WFH stipend upon joining, $100 per month reimbursement for fitness‑related expenses, and monthly reimbursement for home internet, phone, and cellular data Equipment: Laptop provided Due to the high volume of applications we anticipate, we regret that we are unable to provide individual feedback to all candidates.
