Senior Software Developer GroundControl – A technology company revolutionizing quality for aerospace and defense manufacturers. Our mission is to deliver advanced software solutions that enable manufacturers to produce high‑quality parts and systems with precision and confidence. As the early hire at GroundControl, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product and engineering culture for the future of the company. You will work directly with the founding team across engineering, product, and customer success. What you’ll do Own the software solutions that are deployed to customers. Contribute to our Next.js application and Python/Golang serverless functions to improve reliability and progress the product roadmap. Triage issues, root‑cause failures, and coordinate next‑steps. Interface directly with end‑users to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints. Core Requirements Strong software engineering background (5+ years) from industry. At least 5 years working with JavaScript/TypeScript and React in production systems. Experience building scalable and responsive web‑based user interfaces. Ability to empathize with end‑users, turn needs into features, and balance user experience with engineering constraints to deliver full solutions. Must be a U.S. Person, Canadian Citizen, or Canadian Permanent Resident to satisfy regulatory requirements. Desired Requirements Experience working with Python and/or Golang. Experience working with LLMs. Experience working with AWS, in particular GovCloud. Significant experience with writing test suites for React applications (Jest, Playwright). Deep relational database knowledge (Postgres specifically). Experience working on enterprise software and the features required by that customer segment.
