Our team of experts collaborates to provide services that align with our vision of meeting and exceeding the highest industry standards through innovation.To meet our growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking a Market Lead, T&D (Ontario, Atlantic) to join our National Electrical Team, located in one of our Ontario or Atlantic offices.The Market Leader, Transmission & Distribution is responsible for overseeing and leading the technical T&D practice in Ontario and Atlantic. This includes leading projects and being responsible for certain accounts and engagements, as well as the overall compliance with national and local regulations, and maintaining high standards of service reliability and customer satisfaction.WSP is a leader in the delivery of clean energy and Power sector solutions to meet the increasing demand for safe, secure, and sustainable energy for Canadians which requires a substantial expansion of the electricity transmission network. Come find out for yourself what it's like to be a part of our journey.We offer attractive pay, flexible work options, a great corporate culture, comprehensive and employee-focused benefits including virtual healthcare and a wellness platform as well as great savings programs, and a clear vision for the future.#WeAreWSP #ERIcareersWSP #ERIcarrièresWSPWhat you can expect to do here:You will be the Technical Market Leader for T&D in Ontario and AtlanticYou will be responsible for leading and growing the Transmission and Distribution practice in your market sectorYou will act as a thought leader, applying advanced in-depth and broad knowledge and be externally recognized as a top “go-to” resource in their fieldYou will make decisions on highly complex issues regarding work approach for project components and completion of team tasks and responsibilitiesYou will anticipate business needs, secure required resources, and lead initiatives to implement change in the organizationYou will make recommendations and be involved with important decision-making on highly technical and complex aspects of WSP projectsYou will be accountable to lead certain client accounts and engagements within T&DYou will support the growth of technical disciplines required for T&DYou will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards and provide oversight and governance on the various major project ongoing within the T&D teamYou will provide governance on T&D jobs including quality, and provide leadership on T&D proposalsYou will collaborate with other internal departments and stakeholders to improve quality and project delivery, including management of subconsultantsYou will mentor and coach other T&D staff as requiredWhat you’ll bring to WSP:More than 10 years’ experience in a leadership role, and must have experience in the Power sector with Transmission & Distribution;Engineering degree in a related discipline or technical diploma from post-secondary institution is required;Proven experience in business development with an existing network in the Transmission & Distribution market;Strong financial and business acumen - experience with managing business operations and/or a P&L is an asset;Strong understanding of the energy sector, including industry trends and emerging technologies related to the energy transformation and decarbonization;Ability to negotiate and build relationships with clients;P.Eng. or P.Tech. designation is an asset;Bilingual in both French and English is an asset.About UsWSP is one of the world's leading professional services firms.
