Manager, Operations Optimization & Integration (6 Month Contract) The Manager, Operations Integration & Optimization is responsible for transitioning our operations model from independent operating units to a shared service model. This role leads the standardization and optimization of operating processes for DP World Canada, including the transition to automation and the integration of all processes connecting the logistics network and platform to our terminals. Responsibilities Integrate all processes connecting our terminals to logistics, rail network, short shipping, short trucking, short railing and other modes of operations; includes integrating DP World terminals with our Gateway Operating Center. Work with key partners throughout the organization on process improvement and change management processes. Work with the Senior Director, IT in the ongoing implementation of technological solutions contributing to the management of all operations in Canada. Work with the Director, Engineering & Maintenance on the transition to automation of our existing terminals and the development of processes for our new terminals. Review and develop processes for transitioning into automation and process digitalization for existing and future business units. Build and manage strong collaborative relationships with all stakeholders connecting our business units. Qualifications A degree in business, operational management, logistics or other related field. Minimum 7 years’ senior management experience within terminal operations or logistics. Successful management of all key stakeholder relationships including shareholders and external government agencies. Advanced knowledge of terminal safety and security procedures and protocols. Knowledge of data visualization software and data warehousing systems to be able to effectively guide delivery of technological solutions to meet user requirements. Leadership potential and capability, with the confidence to communicate with all levels of management and demonstrated success in dynamic environments. Strong negotiator and a self-starter with the ability to adapt to stressful environments by using a sociable but firm approach, as well as engendering trust and integrity. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, develop and encourage others to positively contribute to business goals and objectives. High level analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills. Strong commitment to client service excellence with the ability to build solid relationships.
