The Hexagon Smartplant Information Management System Support Specialist (Hexagon SDx and Smart Foundation) supports and provides support for the administration and implementation of Hexagon SDx and Smart Foundation systems, in a project environment with regards to user support, project support, SDx and SPF project administration including but not limited to maintenance, customization, integration with other software and software upgrades. Responsibilities Set‑up and monitor application backup, scheduled tasks, batch services, internal development and manage user access. Participate in software certification, User Acceptance Testing, Requests For Change and delivery processes, ensuring issues are communicated to developers and software vendors as needed. Configure, test and put into production SPF and SDx for new projects. Configure and maintain mapping between SPF and design tools (SPID, S3D, SEL, SI) for data publish and retrieve. Configure and maintain SDx including schema, data capture, workflows, report generation, MDR. Implement or support SDx and SPF integrations with other Hexagon or third‑party software. Resolve software configuration issues and manage Hexagon support tickets for SPF and SDx. Liaise with external vendors, including IT developers, to investigate unusual problems with software releases/hardware issues or to receive assistance with hardware and peripheral malfunctions. Resolve problems related to the software application. Train users as needed in SPF and SDx and provide day‑to‑day support. Support and maintain the Engineering Tools development and certification servers. Work directly with other areas of IT (e.g., Data Centre, infrastructure services) to investigate, elevate requests and seek advice on technical support issues regarding Application Development, Data Centre and Infrastructure Services. Liaise with Developers, staff Engineering and Chief Designer to define and implement enhancements. Knowledgeable with the Intel hardware platform and Windows Operating System. Capable of supporting the Engineering applications for which the branch is responsible. Ability to investigate, assess and resolve issues associated with hardware and software problems. Good verbal, written, organizational and presentation skills. Ability to effectively interface with staff, project management team, and internal clients. Demonstrate initiative and results‑oriented performance. About You Preferred college diploma specialized in a related technology from an accredited institution and minimum of five years of relevant experience. 5+ years’ experience in SPF mapping with SPID, S3D, SEL, SI. 5+ years’ experience with SDx including schema mapping, workflows configuration, data capture, user management etc. Capable of supporting the Engineering applications for which the branch is responsible. Ability to investigate, assess and resolve issues associated with hardware and software problems. Good verbal, written, organizational and presentation skills. Ability to effectively interface with staff, project management team, and internal clients. Demonstrate initiative and results‑oriented performance.
