This role is ideally suited for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual who wants to expand their expertise and advance their career within Human Resources.Position Overview:As a full-time Payroll and Benefits Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining employee records, administering employee benefits programs, and addressing employee inquiries. You will collaborate closely with HR and the finance team to ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations and company policies.Key Responsibilities:Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time for all employeesMaintain payroll records ensuring data integrity and the confidentiality of employee files in the payroll systemCalculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishmentsAdminister employee benefits programs, including health insurance benefits and RRSP’sAct as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefitsAssist in the development and implementation of payroll and benefits policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with federal and provincial regulations governing payroll and benefits administrationCollaborate with HR and the finance team to reconcile payroll and benefits accounts and resolve discrepanciesGenerate payroll reports and provide analysis as neededProcessing T4 Forms and other required tax formsPreparing and remitting source deductions and payroll taxQualifications:Strong foundation and understanding of payroll and benefits regulations and principles, along with a willingness to learn and grow within the roleA minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience is preferred (a combination of academic training and practical experience will be considered)Proven experience in payroll administration, preferably in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in payroll software and MS Office, particularly ExcelExcellent attention to detail and accuracyExceptional organizational and time management skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently, as part of a team and take initiativeCertification in payroll administration (e.g., PCP) is beneficialAble to meet time sensitive deadlinesSkills:High degree of accuracy in preparing and entering financial and payroll informationAttention to detail, excellent organizational and analytical skillsProficient with MS Word and ExcelExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAvailability:40 hours a week, minimumJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $53,000 - $55,000per yearCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits plan and retirement savings packageOpportunities for professional development and growth within the companyPositive and supportive work environment with a focus on work-life balanceWork Location: In Person at 5410 Trans-Canada Highway, Duncan, BC, V9L 6W4How to Apply:If you are passionate about payroll and benefits administration and are looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply Please contact Mikaela Alldred (Mikaela.alldred@buckerfields.ca) at Buckerfield's Head Office to apply for this position, or to request additional information.Apply for the Payroll & Benefits Administrator Position #J-18808-Ljbffr
