Following the rubrics of our culinary mission will allow the candidate to share their wealth of knowledge and experience in guiding our culinary team in creating a paramount journey for our guests. Key Responsibilities:Provide leadership and guidance in leading the teamHandle stressful situations in an appropriate mannerPrepare written reportsWork a variety of shifts as requiredOther duties as requiredManage with a very hands on approachWhat You’ll RequireMust have journeyman Cook papers / Red SealA passion for the Culinary artsA Culinarian who is excited by an ever-changing workplace and one that provides several different types of opportunities to grow and developMinimum of seven (7) years of progressive culinary experience in a large kitchen, with a minimum of two (2) years as a Chef de PartieStrong people management skillsWell rounded in all areas of the kitchen including a basic knowledge of PastryMust participate in a three (3) course cooking test during interview processExperience in Banquet or catering would be a plusWhite table cloth or casual dining Restaurant experience requiredExcellent customer service skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills and good computer skillsGet to Know GatewayGateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited (“Gateway”) is one of the largest and most diversified gaming and entertainment companies in Canada with 30+ gaming properties in British Columbia and Ontario and two additional properties in Edmonton, Alberta.
