Nuclear medicine technician

Satisfactory completion of formal Nuclear Medicine Technology training in an AMA approved school.
ARRT or NMTCB certified.
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.
Nuclear cardiology experience (or certification if available).
One year SPECT experience.
Additional Eligibility QualificationsCPR certification.
Essential Functions- Good fundamental skills with a good understanding of Nuclear Medicine.
- Practices radiation safety habits using time, distance, and shielding principles.
- Ensures the correct patient is receiving the correct procedure with the proper indicators.
- Communicates appropriately with physicians, co-workers, and patients.
- Ensures good quality imaging and accurate computer processing prior to presenting images to the physician for reading.
- Follows hot lab procedures according to the manual.
