p>Reporting to the Manager of Learning & Development, the Sr. Learning and Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting MLF’s Leadership learning programs. This individual will be instrumental in design, development, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of various learning initiatives across the organization. The role requires a proactive approach to enhance the learning experience, ensuring that all programs are aligned with MLF’s strategic objectives and contribute to the development of its leaders while also building strong partnerships across the business.Any MLF team member interested in being considered for this role are encouraged to apply online by October 10. li>Manage the life cycle of learning programs, including coordinating participants, logistics, supporting facilitators, and facilitating content where necessary.Evaluate, track, and report on all training regarding attendance, engagement, completion, and success rates.Develop and execute engaging training communications for campaigns, calendars, and individual stakeholders to increase awareness and demand for our programming.Strategic Analysis and Planning: Develop solutions that consider learner persona, objectives, business constraints, and available resources while applying adult learning principles and instructional design techniques.Collaboration and Relationship Building: Collaborate with other learning, HR team members, and learning partners to deliver organizational objectives.Identify issues and/or recommend program improvements to ensure programs are delivered efficiently, and participants experience a high-quality learning program that delivers business outcomes.Lead complex projects through the entire project life cycle, including course/program development and implementation.Content Design and Development: Design and develop effective and engaging content and materials, employing recognized adult learning principles.Work with functional subject-matter-experts to ensure the content is reflective of current business practices and addresses existing skill gaps.Collaborate with outside vendors to ensure the successful delivery of content and/or key programs.3-5 years of experience managing the life cycle of learning programs, including needs assessments, design, implementation, and evaluation.Strong interpersonal and communication skills including writing, listening, speaking, and facilitating.Strong attention to detail, prioritization and organizational skills to support multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.College or University degree in training, adult learning, or organizational behavior or equivalent certification in adult learning principles (CSTD) is preferred.What We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods: Being part of a high-performance, people-focused company that has an inspiring and unique vision to become the most sustainable protein company on earth, and a deep commitment to sustainable protein across North America.A hybrid work model that embraces remote work for eligible roles, helping team members achieve work-life balance—combining the best of both spending time working remotely, benefitting from focus time, and purposeful collaboration in the office setting.Defined Contribution Pension Plan with company matching that starts on your first day of employment.Learning and development opportunities, including workshops, ‘speaker series’ events, and resources that allow you to develop your skills and progress your career.Comprehensive tuition reimbursement program that supports continuous learning and development of our team members through investment in eligible degrees, diplomas, professional certification, or trades programs.Supporting our deep commitment to community impact, we offer up to two paid days annually to volunteer at a cause of your choice.We’re a carbon neutral food company on a purposeful journey to Raise the Good in Food through better nutrition, safer food and workplaces, more humane animal care, and environmental sustainability efforts that protect our planet.
