Hospital Description Cariboo Memorial is “Under Construction” with planned completion in 2026. The redevelopment project will add 25 in‑patient beds for a total of 53, a new emergency department, mental‑health unit, and cancer department. A new maternity clinic (opened July 2023) focuses on comprehensive care for expectant mothers in the Cariboo region. Currently, CMH is a Level 2 Community Hospital, offering ER, ICU, OR, med‑surg, cardiology, obstetrical units, lab, diagnostic imaging, outpatient hemodialysis, and integrated residential beds. Deni House is adjacent to CMH and offers a resident‑centered philosophy with 13 private and five 3‑bed rooms. Nine beds are short‑stay, including two palliative and two ALCP beds. Practice Details Excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collegial practice in Williams Lake. You will provide general acute, neonatal (≥34 weeks), ER, and consultant care to patients and families at Cariboo Memorial Hospital, working alongside another pediatrician and allied health professionals at the Cariboo Chilcotin Child Development Centre. A background in pediatric and an interest in developmental and behavioural pediatrics are especially suitable. We welcome passionate, hardworking, experienced candidates and confident new graduates with broad experience. Compensation and Benefits Compensation Type: Fee‑for‑Service Estimated Remuneration: Competitive Possible additional remuneration under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA): retention premium 12.32 %, retention flat fee $19,092, relocation funding $9,000 – $15,000, recruitment incentive $15,000 (full‑time). Additional benefits include increasing remuneration with RCME: $600 for up to 2 years in Trail, $3,600 during years 3‑4, and $6,600 after 4 years, plus Doctors of BC CME funds.
