Job Details The Director of Retail leads onsite Rank + Rally operations at TD Place in Ottawa, ON, reporting to the Area Director – Retail Operations. The position focuses on operational excellence, marketing and sales initiatives and profitability across all retail outlets. Responsibilities Overall financial results for every location, from sales to gross margin. Develop product and category mix for Retail Program Buy with an exclusive mix. Maintain visual presentation standards and operational/safety policies. Plan and execute client store‑specific events and promotional calendar. Review business with retail leadership; establish action plans to reverse negative trends. Oversee P&L, approve expenses, and manage variable labor and month‑end COS. Approve high‑level CapEx expenditures with the client. Manage staff: recognize performance, address issues and build a healthy culture. Conduct regular management meetings and keep communication transparent. Coach and train for guest‑centric service and salesmanship. Approve schedules and manage labor spend. Create reporting and analytics for purchasing, distribution or financial analysis. Coordinate design elements and location build‑outs for retail activations. Assist special events such as concerts and sporting events. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Store Director, GM level, or Multi‑Unit Management experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience with retail systems (Retail Pro, Retail Cloud, WFM, etc.). Ability to work long hours and a flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays. Excellent communication skills across all levels. Physical stamina: standing/walking 8+ hours/day, lifting 30‑50 lbs., stretching, bending.
