You will be the primary digital transformation expert, leveraging technology including Automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to streamline workflows and elevate team capabilities. If you are passionate about the intersection of Finance and technology, this opportunity will allow you to influence the future of financial operations at Lightspeed and thrive in a dynamic, high-impact environment.What You’ll Be DoingOwn small transformation initiatives and provide support to larger team initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and maximum business outcomes.Proactively identify and champion opportunities to optimize core Finance processes, focusing on streamlining workflows and minimizing manual tasks.Independently diagnose systemic issues within financial systems and processes, proposing and implementing robust, effective, and compliant solutions.Conduct interviews with stakeholders to gather information for project initiation and ensure a comprehensive understanding of business needs.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including detailed process flowcharts and instructional materials, to support new and optimized processes.Manage project progress, update work management tools, and ensure deadlines are met.Present key findings and updates in peer reviews and stakeholder meetings.Technology & Digital TransformationServe as the Finance department\'s technology expert, applying AI and automation tools to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance process efficiency.Drive strategic technology selection through ROI analysis, vendor research, demo coordination, and industry benchmarking.Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses for new technologies and automations, ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX).Deepen technical expertise through research and practical application on relevant projects to deliver cutting-edge solutions.Provide strategic, data-backed recommendations for technology adoption and process change to senior leadership.Partnership & SupportCollaborate across Finance sub-teams to implement new systems and solutions.Provide advanced technical support and resolve complex financial system and process issues.Facilitate and lead training sessions and meetings, mentoring colleagues to elevate the team\'s knowledge in new technologies and processes.Maintain awareness of the strict SOX compliance environment, ensuring propositions are self-reviewed and validated for impact before implementation.What You Need To BringBachelor\'s degree in Accounting or a related field, coupled with a CPA title.Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in an accounting, finance systems, or consulting role.Demonstrated success in leading or significantly contributing to finance-focused projects.Proven proficiency in using technologies to automate and improve financial processes.Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and a disciplined approach to problem-solving.What’s in it for you?Come live the Lightspeed experience...Ability to work in a truly flexible environment.Genuine career opportunities in a company that’s creating new jobs every day.Work in a team big enough for growth but lean enough to make a real impact.Lightspeed share scheme (we are all owners).Unlimited paid time off policy.Flexible working policy.Health insurance.Health and wellness benefit of $500 per year.Paid leave and assistance for new parents.Mental health online platform and counselling & coaching services.LinkedIn Learning license.Volunteer day.As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.Lightspeed is an equal opportunity employer.
