This position reports to a Director or Site Leader/Manager in Radiation Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Outpatient Services, Clinical Trials and Hematology and Blood and Marrow Transplant Program. QUALIFICATIONS Education Grade 12 Medical Office Assistant certificate (OR) Medical Administrative Assistant (OR) Office Administrative Assistant Program including medical terminology (OR) Continuing Care Assistant certificate (OR) completion of a Nursing or Radiation Therapy program Experience No previous experience required. Skills Ability to type proficiently. Competent in the use of computers and Microsoft applications. Required to follow established methods when performing duties. Some Judgment and problem solving skills are required to select the most appropriate action from a limited number of alternatives. Ability to effectively communicate factual information both orally and in writing. Human relations skills required to empathize with complaints and/or concerns and establish rapport with patients, the public and other staff. Accuracy of fine motor movements for typing/data entry is required. Maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people. #J-18808-Ljbffr
