Program Assistant – Lakeshore Campus, Lethbridge Correctional Centre Lethbridge Polytechnic is seeking a Program Assistant for the Lakeshore Campus located at the Lethbridge Correctional Centre. The Lakeshore Campus delivers programming in three educational streams—Academic Studies, Personal Development and Job Employment Training—to help offenders develop personal, academic and employment skills, enabling successful reintegration into society. The Program Assistant reports directly to the Lakeshore Educational Coordinator and is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Offender Education Program, including student recruitment, enrolment, record keeping and liaison with the Correctional Centre and other program partners. Responsibilities Assist the Educational Coordinator and instructors with recruitment, enrolment and notification of students. Create class lists, submit course rosters and develop certificates. Maintain program records, complete requisitions and handle administrative support tasks. Coordinate with Public Safety and Emergency Services and other correctional partners. Work within a high‑security environment, exercising sound judgement and maintaining confidentiality. Required Qualifications 2‑year diploma in Office Administration preferred (experience and education may be considered). 2‑3 years’ experience in an office administrative environment. Exceptional time management, organizational, planning, communication and priority‑setting skills. Advanced technical skills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and electronic mail. Flexibility to work independently and in a team environment. Willingness to work in a high‑security environment with restricted movement and in a high‑risk population. Successful criminal record check. Preferred Qualifications Administrative experience in a post‑secondary institution. Prior use of Colleague software considered an asset. Salary AUPE Class Level 6 Step 1 – $41,022.46 per annum.
