Rape Recovery Program Manager

OverviewManage the operations and supervision of both employees and volunteers of the Rape Recovery Program. Maintain compliance of all program grant contracts. This position is accountable for fiscal responsibility while overseeing the provision of sexual violence services and community information functions provided by the Victim Services Department. This position provides services to primary & secondary victims of sexual assault age 12 and above. Provides telephone (hotline crisis calls and office calls). Provides ongoing counseling helping victim's recover from their trauma. On-going assigned duties will be added in the form of an addendum to this job description.Use performance management process to interview, hire, and evaluate professional staff performance.Maintains and coaches rape recovery staff regarding organizational core competencies.Meet bi-weekly with direct reports for supervision with written documentation of meetings.Coordinate professional staff meetings with appropriate/required training monthly or on as needed basis to enhance knowledge/skills and a cooperative team spirit.Maintains empowerment based philosophy with professional staff and program participants.Professionally represents Victim Services and Peace River Center at all assigned meeting/trainings for domestic and sexual violence task forces to ensure appropriate coordination of service delivery and victims\' assistance with community partners.Participate in timelines, projects, and deadlines for appropriate grants.Supervise statistical reporting and submission of program statistics in a timely manner and effective manner.Supervise and submit time sheets in a timely manner.Proactively provides input for program development and shows positive leadership at all times.Must maintain confidentiality of all management issues at all times.Maintain as needed contact with Director to resolve management issues of the program and professional staff.Maintain flexible schedule that meets program needs. Respond to PRC cell phone, provided, when called.Will maintain supervision/coordination of crisis line and call-out schedule, including on-call as required.Provide management and oversight of the Rape Recovery Program; learn, understand, review/revise annually and carry out all Rape Recovery Program procedures.Provide information and referral services to clients and the general public.Provide telephone and hospital crisis counseling as needed.Facilitate support groups when necessary.Facilitate and/or participate in community awareness presentations/events to identify potential victims of crime.Facilitate monthly Volunteer In-service meetings in the absence of the Specialist.Assume the responsibilities of the Specialist in her/his absenceTake responsibility for reviewing RFP\'s for RRP.Proactively evaluate the needs of the program and Specialist activities.QualificationsMust meet the DCF state-mandated background and screening requirements.EducationB.A. with experience in women\'s issue services preferred.ExperienceA minimum of one year working with individuals or families in crisis preferred. Domestic Violence or Sexual assault related preferred. Supervisory experience.CertificationsNoneTraining30 hours FCADV Core Competency training (provided)30 hours FCASV ACT training (provided)Other annual trainings as required by PRC, FCADV & FCASV.Knowledge and SkillsAbility to self-motivate and self-start.Excellent organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software package.Demonstrated team building skills.Demonstrated planning skills.History of regular work attendance.Demonstrate the ability to lift 25 lbs.Working knowledge of community resources, especially in areas of housing, training and employment.Safety EquipmentUniversal PrecautionsComply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulationsLife Safety Equipment (fire extinguisher)TransportationMust have reliable transportation.May/Will drive personal vehicle for job duties:Must be over 21 with a FL driver\'s license and clean driving record.Must carry & maintain $50,000/$100,000 bodily injury coverage on personal vehicle and provide proof of coverage annually.May/Will drive a PRC vehicle:Must be 25 years of age with a FL driver\'s license and clean driving record.Machines, Tools and EquipmentAs an employee of Peace River Center, if you are not assigned a company-issued phone, you will be required to authorize the use of the Microsoft Authenticator app on your personal mobile device. This is necessary to access our payroll and communication system, Paycor, and Microsoft email as examples. This will ensure secure and efficient communication with the organization.Supervisory Relationship(s)Reports to Director of Victim Services.
