Manages ad hoc cheque runs.Maintains and assists with preparation of the general ledger.Reconciles company invoice records and payments aligned with vendors' statements.Prepares batches of invoices to be processed and balanced.Preserves and organizes vendor information files.Processes period-end closing reports and prepares reconciliation reports as requested. What You BringOne year of experience in a similar role within an accounting department and/or equivalent combination of related education and experiencePost-secondary education in accounting or business administration preferredExperience with Great Plains preferredGeneral knowledge of Accounts Payable theories, practices, legislation and resourcesStrong computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheets, database software, email and web browsers with a diverse customer groupStrong verbal, written communication and ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential informationAbility to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records Why Work for Us?Gateway celebrates and empowers our team members, who make it all possible.
