Area Sales Manager, Montreal and Quebec City Area Carlo Gavazzi Canada is seeking a talented, driven, and customer-focused Area Sales Manager based in the Montreal area. This individual will be responsible for business development and strategic account management across the entire Province of Quebec, primarily focusing on the Montreal and Quebec City regions. The successful candidate will support growth initiatives, strengthen customer relationships, and execute the company’s sales and marketing strategies aligned with national objectives. This role reports directly to the National Sales Manager for Carlo Gavazzi Canada. You will be part of a sales organization that is passionate about working with our clients to create a unique product that is more advanced than anything currently available on the market. As an Area Sales Manager, you will drive and support the development of the Canadian National Sales Company, with the aim of reaching and exceeding the objectives in terms of sales and profitability. Responsibilities You will visit potential customers and distributors regularly to develop product sales in Quebec, Canada. You will target customers (Original Equipment Manufacturers, System Integrators, Panel Builders) directly to create and increase market demand for electronic/electrical automation component products. You will ensure continuous improvement of sales development with the aim to grow sales and profitability in the assigned region. You will formulate and execute action plans with distributors, product managers, and sales teams that will be instrumental to reach sales objectives. You will identify strategic market potentials and opportunities in the Montreal area and sales channels for the products. Prepare sales reports showing sales volume and associated business sales forecasting. Qualifications Solid and successful experience with B2B sales of automation components to relevant key accounts (OEMs, panel builders, distributors) on the local market. Proficiency in creating, negotiating, and closing business opportunities. High level of communication, presentation, and numeracy skills and a self-driven desire to find solutions to problems. Located in the Montreal area, Quebec, Canada. Post‑secondary education in electronics and/or automation, and/or electrical engineering and strong knowledge of the market of components (Components, Switches, Sensors, etc.). Minimum of five years of work experience in sales of industrial controls, switches, sensors components, and energy products. Passion for the Industrial and Building Automation market and ability to work independently and directly with local customers in achieving sales objectives. Existing industry contacts and experience working with distributor channel partners. Ability to operate effectively as part of a team while working independently within the assigned territory. Willing and able to travel as required to achieve sales targets. Fluency in English and French. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM tools. Hands‑on and pragmatic with many examples of things you have built yourself. Flexibility and adaptability to new plans. Sales is fun, but also unpredictable.
