Maintenance Technician Position Overview Altea’s Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the facility is maintained in optimal condition to provide a superior experience for our members and guests. The role requires a strong background in maintenance, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Perform facility maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks. Execute preventive maintenance schedules using computerized maintenance management software. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless facility operations. Ensure compliance with building safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Lead a team to organize and prioritize daily assignments for safe and clean maintenance. Assist with pool chemical checks and adjustment. Typical Day Review, delegate, and complete new work orders. Communicate with teams about service disruptions. Troubleshoot heating or A/V equipment in group fitness studios. Check preventative maintenance calendar to ensure items are on schedule. Attend joint health and safety meetings. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (trade school training an asset). 3+ years facility operations experience. Prior plumbing, HVAC, or electrical experience preferred. Experience coaching or mentoring apprentices/technicians. Proficient with basic hand tools, power tools, multimeter, and ammeter. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is an asset. Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and safe driving record. Recent criminal background check required. Required Skills Methodical, accountable, and detail‑oriented with strong communication. Efficient, resourceful, results‑oriented, and safety‑conscious.
