Intermediate Design Technician, Municipal Engineering & Land Development Apply for the Intermediate Design Technician, Municipal Engineering & Land Development role at WSP in Canada. Opportunity WSP is currently seeking an Intermediate Design Technologist to join our Municipal and Infrastructure team in the Lower Mainland. This position will be responsible for designing various municipal and land development assignments (site & subdivision planning and design, municipal roads, residential developments, storm water management, pipe networks, etc.) for projects locally and throughout BC. Responsibilities Design and drafting of land development and municipal infrastructure projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Participate in project meetings with contractors, clients/owners, and stakeholders. Take projects from preliminary concepts into engineering designs, plans, and documentation. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory documents, construction cost estimates, and tender documents/contracts. Coordinate with team members to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards. Other duties as assigned. What you’ll bring 2+ years of AutoCAD drafting/design experience, with mandatory knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university. Registered with or eligible to register with ASTTBC or another technical accreditation body. Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Familiarity with local development bylaws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint). Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team. Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Compensation Salary range (BC): $71,500 – $98,300. Final salary may vary based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, seniority, geography, performance, and business needs.
