Ratio EmployeesValid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED OR be ready, able and willing to obtain this training as a condition of employmentSatisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) that is current within 5 years if currently employed with the WRDSB. Satisfactory PVSC that is current within 6 months for new employeesMust complete the Licensed child care staff record requirements, including Region of Waterloo Public Health, Health AssessmentApplications and supporting documentation stating qualifications and experience, and proof of Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED must be included in your portfolio.NotesThe Successful Candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check including the Vulnerable Sector, which must be received in Human Resources prior to the commencement of employment. No phone calls, please.Under the for staff screening and police record checks; Employees [DECEs, EAs, CYWs] working in licensed child care programs are required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check issued by a Police Service on or before every fifth anniversary after the date of the most recent vulnerable sector check. In addition, employees are required to complete an annual offence declaration (annually recorded through the WRDSB staff portal). Educators working in Before and After School Programs are required to complete a request for VSC through your local police service (available online) and submit your original electronic copy to the Licensed Child Care Staff Record Site (LCCSR).Employees are required to have a valid first aid and CPR certificate and or be registered to update their training within the year and to maintain this certification. Employees may be required to work on PD days, Winter break, and March break when the program is operating. It is the responsibility of interested candidates to ensure that their application, including a resume and a copy of a current Certificate of Qualification is submitted through Apply to Education.
