FP&A Analyst Remote within Canada

You’ll build and maintain our budget and forecasts, run variance analyses, and turn data into insights for leadership and the Board. You will also wear a light RevOps/BizOps hat, owning cross-functional metrics and ensuring our KPI definitions and dashboards are consistent, trusted, and actionable.This is a rare chance to join an early-stage fintech and build the forecasting and KPI engine that will shape our growth. This position is remote-first. We welcome applicants from anywhere in Canada, though we have a preference for candidates in British Columbia to support occasional in-person collaboration.What You’ll DoCore FP&ABuild, maintain, and iterate the annual plan and rolling forecastsOwn monthly variance analysis (actuals vs. plan) with driver-based commentaryPartner with Head of Finance to translate insights for the CEO/leadership and BoardSupport strategic models (pricing, unit economics, runway, hiring plans, new products)Prepare Board/investor materials (financials, KPIs, narrative)RevOps / BizOps (cross-functional)Support and maintain an organizational KPI dictionaryWork with Data Engineer to build and maintain dashboards across all functionsDesign lightweight data flows between CRM, billing, data warehouse, and the modelProcess & SystemsShorten close-to-reporting cycle in partnership with Accounting; automate data pullsImplement version control and auditability for models and KPI definitionsHelp evaluate/implement FP&A tooling as we scaleWhat You BringRequired Skills & Experience3 - 5 years in FP&A or data-driven finance rolesDegree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data, or similarExpert spreadsheet modeling skills (driver-based, scenario/sensitivity, cohort, unit economics)Strong financial storytelling: clear, concise exec-ready slides and memosSolid grasp of SaaS/fintech metrics (ARR/MRR, NDR, churn, CAC/LTV, gross margin)Some experience partnering cross-functionallyNice to HaveFintech, payments, or blockchain industry experienceExperience working at a high-growth startup/scaleupCPA or equivalent experienceExposure to IFRS concepts and working with Accounting during closeAutomation/scripting knowledge (e.g. Python) to clean data and automate reportsSuccess in This Role Looks LikeAccurate, driver-based forecasts and clear monthly variance narratives delivered timelyTrusted KPI dashboards with clearly defined metricsAutomated reports replacing manual spreadsheetsBoard package with crisp financials and metricsThe salary range for this position is CAD $110,000-$125,000.
