Position Overview Our summer student program provides an opportunity to experience real‑world challenges, collaborate with diverse teams, network with other students and create a vision for your future career path. The role is a full‑time student position from May through August 2026, working with the Production Engineering team in Calgary. During your summer, you will gain exposure to the energy industry by attending sessions hosted by subject matter experts and will have an opportunity to showcase your learnings with your student network. How You Will Contribute Assist with generation of new MOCs and MOC close‑out activities. Support day‑to‑day operations by troubleshooting and resolving equipment or process issues under the guidance of experienced engineers. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize workflows, reduce downtime and enhance safety. Collect and analyze operational data to monitor performance metrics and identify trends or anomalies. Document procedures and findings to ensure knowledge transfer and support operational consistency. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including maintenance, production, and engineering to gain a holistic understanding of operations. Apply academic knowledge to real‑world challenges, bridging theory and practice in areas such as fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and process control. Take ownership of a summer project, delivering meaningful results and presenting findings to stakeholders at the end of the term. Go to the field in Northeast BC and work side‑by‑side with Operations Engineers and EITs. What You Bring Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program at a Canadian post‑secondary institution and must be returning to undergraduate studies after the work term. Bachelor of Science majoring in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, with at least three years for completion. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with superior Excel skills. Ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with team members, peers and diverse business groups. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong time and data management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
