The Selkirk Copper team will focus on the strategic conversion of Inferred to Indicated and Measured resources while creating an exploration target pipeline both near mine and across the regional land package. The Senior Geologist – Resource and Modelling role will be an integral part in building the mineralizing model and advancing the geological understanding of the Minto Copper Belt. The 2025–2026 exploration programs will involve 3–4 drill rigs focused on expansion and infill drilling, working toward a feasibility study targeted for completion in early 2027.Key Responsibilities and Duties  Geological and Resource ModellingLead the development and continuous refinement of the 3D geological modelsIntegrate geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets, along with regional structural information, to inform a comprehensive geological understanding.Conduct and supervise 3D modeling, geostatistical processing and the development of various estimation parameters;Create and validate resource estimation workflows, including domain interpretation, data validationParticipate in and supervise the production of technical studies (preliminary, pre-feasibility and feasibility) and provide technical reports in compliance with NI43-101;Geological Expertise and Technical Data Management: Provide relevant geological information to other technical disciplines (mining, infrastructure, environment, metallurgy) and offer support as required.Communicate new findings and recommendations to the geology team, facilitating discussion and continuous improvement in data collection.Plan drill hole locations and expected deviations for drill hole traces to effectively test the mineralization and exploration targets as directed.Participate in innovation projects or project evaluations.  Safety and Environmental Stewardship:o   Promote the company’s commitment to sustainability, the environment, health, and safety. o  Lead by example, demonstrating honesty, sincerity and openness to feedback Team Leadership: o  Coach and assist in the development of geologists within the team o  In collaboration with the VP Exploration, ensure technical coaching for professional development purposes and proactive mentorship of all staffo  Supervise staff and contractors to ensure quality and safety standards are metSeeks ways to continuously improve operations and team collaboration by refining practices, eliminating barriers, taking action to improve processes, and mitigating problems that interrupt productionSet goals and prioritize tasks to achieve department objectivesSchedule and Travel Expectations·       Schedule: 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday·       Workplace: The preferred location for this role is at the Selkirk Copper Mines head office in Vancouver, however possibility to work remotely can be considered for the right candidate. Preference for Candidates to work primary in the Vancouver of Whitehorse office.·       Travel: Regular travel to the Minto Mine site and the Vancouver office is expected, though no fixed rotation schedule applies.Salary Range·       Expected range for this role is $135,000 - $170,000 CAD.Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements·       A minimum of 10 years of industry experience and a post-secondary degree in geoscience or engineering is required·       Working knowledge and technical competence with major ore deposit types in the western Cordillera region·       Working knowledge of various stages of the exploration life cycle from early-stage exploration to advanced projects and/or mine site experience·       High degree of initiative, self-motivation, accountability, and independent judgment·       Advanced written and oral English language is required·       Must have proven experience in 3D modeling, resource estimation and geostatistics; ·       Proven competency in Leapfrog, GIS and Microsoft Software suite.·       Knowledge of NI 43-101 reporting standards for resource documentation·       Strong database management and QAQC experience. ·       Critical and conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills·       Ability to travel within the region as required·       Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills and experience working with a broad range of people·       Results-oriented thinking with excellent organizational, planning, program management and decision-making skills·       Solutions focused with a commitment to respectful, inclusive, and sustainable community development·       Visualizes future potential opportunities and anticipates risks·       Can identify learning and performance gaps in others and is effective in coaching and developing others·       Collaborates well with others to develop new ideas and shares responsibility in project deliverables·       Registered or ability to register as a Professional Geologist in a Canadian jurisdiction Interested applicants can email their resume to careers@selkirkcopper.com.We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those considered for an interview will be contacted.
