Job Summary Coordinate and provide administrative support on all HR issues including recruitment, orientation, training, employee and labour relations, and performance management. Work closely with Payroll and Benefits to address benefits and compensation issues. Participate in recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding. Support onboarding new Associates, explaining benefits, policies, and completing paperwork. Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Support labour relations activities: grievance process, contract interpretation, preparation for collective bargaining. Conduct workplace investigations ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and compliance with laws. Administer performance management processes and support leadership in addressing performance or conduct concerns. Ensure compliance with employment standards, human rights legislation, health and safety regulations, and other applicable laws. Support delivery of training sessions on HR and labour relations topics. Collaborate with senior HR on policy development, workforce planning, and change management initiatives. Maintain accurate confidential records and prepare reports for stakeholders. Assist Occupational Health & Safety and Quality Assurance departments in ensuring compliance with company policies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration, or related field. 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably with exposure to a unionized environment. Solid understanding of employment legislation and labour relations practices. Experience in grievance handling, contract interpretation, and workplace investigations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism with sensitive information. Strong problem‑solving, conflict resolution, and analytical skills. Ability to multi‑task, handle competing priorities and work autonomously. Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. CHRP/CHRL designation or working toward it is considered an asset.
