Job Description Hybrid - in Dundas Office Anderson Therapy Services (ATS) is a growing multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting children and youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. As the demand for our services continues to grow, we are seeking a passionate, motivated, and skilled Behavior Therapy Assistant (BTA) (12‑18 months contract) to join our Behavior Therapy Team. The BTA position is integral to the provision of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, which include group and/or individual sessions focusing on communication skills, behavior management/emotional regulation, social/interpersonal skills, and daily living skills. Key Responsibilities Working under the supervision of a Registered Behavior Analyst (RBA) and/or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the BTA will design and implement individualized treatment plans, behavioral support plans, and strategies. Program Development: Under the direct supervision of the RBA / BCBA, develop new programs and perform ongoing adjustments to current programs as needed. Client Service Delivery Implement individualized treatment plans, behavioral support plans, and strategies. Provide services virtually to clients in remote Indigenous communities using virtual care technology. Work with clients in the Dundas office as part of a hybrid model. Collaboration: Collaborate with other clinicians from various disciplines to provide a strong continuum of care for clients. Documentation and Confidentiality: Keep accurate digital client files and maintain the confidentiality of all client information and situations. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with children, as well as parents, caregivers, teachers, and other support workers. Travel: Be able to travel by plane to remote Northern First Nations Communities 4–6 times per year for up to 5 consecutive days. Qualifications Must Haves (Required) Education: A 3-year or 1-year post‑graduate Community College Diploma in Behavioral Science or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Experience: 2 years of experience working with children and youth with autism using the principles of ABA. Knowledge Knowledge of the Autism Spectrum Disorder with a strong understanding of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Knowledge of services provided within autism services as well as organization‑wide services. Understanding of the Ontario Autism Program (current and historical information), including a general understanding of ministry changes, funding options, and their effect on service delivery. Understanding of the Professional and Compliance Code for Behavior Analysis. Nice to Haves (Assets) Strong interest in working with First Nation Children. Skilled in completing formal and informal assessments and identifying client-centered treatment goals. Knowledge of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people, history, intergenerational trauma, culture, health priorities, and social issues impacting mental health. Flexibility, problem‑solving skills, creativity, and organizational/time management skills necessary to manage an ever‑changing caseload. Strong computer skills and familiarity with video conference software (e.g., Zoom), Canva, and the Microsoft Office ecosystem (e.g., TEAMS, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Availability to work days, evenings, and some Saturdays based on group session sign‑up (standard hours are Monday‑Friday, 9 am – 5 pm). Ability to start as soon as possible.
