Territory Manager - Pet Retail Channel - Quebec CityHill's Pet Nutrition is seeking a Territory Manager to manage an account base of Pet Specialty retail stores in the Quebec City region. The role focuses on building net sales, product mix, market share, and promotion of Hill's brands within retail stores. The TM will act as the primary partner for store owners, managers, and staff, promoting tiered retail endorsement and market growth.What You Will Do:Develop and maintain high standards of knowledge in small animal nutrition, Hill’s and competitors’ products through company training and self-studyAchieve territory sales targetsPlan and execute call coverage, frequency, and productivity based on account classification and required activitiesReview the potential of accounts within the territory annuallyPromptly identify new accounts and secure a strong presence and endorsement for Hill’s brandsLeverage all company available tools to drive execution (Product POS, detailing materials, promotions, sampling, trials, product distribution drives, educational seminars, etc.)Develop deep knowledge of the customers’ business and organization; build a network with key decision makers and key influencers in Pet Specialty in the assigned territoryProvide best-in-class professional support (detailing, seminars, technical training, merchandising), reaching all key stakeholders in the retail territoryIdentify opportunities in the assigned customer base and develop business propositions that meet the needs of both Hill’s and the customer, resulting in increased brand recommendation and superior 6P execution in retailImplement commercial activities to ensure:Awareness, full distribution and active endorsement by the Pet Specialty Retailers of Hill’s products and services in all core disease categoriesRapid acceptance, endorsement, and distribution of new productsEstablishment of shelf space and adequate inventory within each retailerEstablishment of merchandising and practice protocols to Hill’s standardsIncrease recruitment of new users to Hill’s brands (promotions and trial programs)Develop and implement annual joint business/action plans for key retailers that achieve both the needs of customers and Hill’s overall commercial objectivesSchedule regular quarterly business reviews with decision makers in key retail stores to assess results versus agreed goals and adjust plans accordinglyMonitor achievement of territory objectives versus target and develop strategies to address changes in the business environment as appropriateManage the assigned budget and ensure timely and accurate submission of payment requestsRepresent Hill’s at meetings, conferences, trade shows, local and national meetings, client meetings, and retailer special eventsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree with previous sales experience OR 2-year Associate Degree with Registered Veterinary Tech credentialsPreferred Qualifications:B.S. or Business Administration or a relevant field2+ years of sales experience in Pet Specialty industry, CPG, or nutrition companyRVT (Animal Health Technician/Technologist) with practice experience, industry experience OR veterinary teaching experienceValid driver’s licenseOur Commitment to InclusionOur journey begins with our people—developing strong talent with diverse backgrounds and perspectives to best serve our consumers around the world and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels a true sense of belonging.
