Job Title: Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist (Hybrid) at CBI Health The hybrid role requires you to be in the office 2 times a week to meet with clients. This position reports to the Vocational Team Lead, National VR (CTL), and is accountable for delivering expert vocational services. Main Responsibilities Ensure all practices are conducted with integrity and in alignment with best practice and CBI policies, including privacy policies. Complete employment planning for injured or disabled individuals. Facilitate job search workshops. Complete resumes and cover letters. Conduct labor market research. Identify suitable job options and return‑to‑work plans. Market clients to prospective employers. Provide job placement support, career, and employment coaching. Manage and prioritize a caseload efficiently and effectively. Utilize a client‑centered approach to identify employment barriers, goals, and service needs to develop customized employment plans. Deliver and evaluate employment plans, teaching clients the skills required to research, interview for, and secure employment, focusing on both practical and soft skills. Build out employer contacts, create opportunities, and support placements in partnership with employers in a range of sectors. Foster trusting and reliable relationships with stakeholders and clients, maintaining open and transparent communication. Participate in team meetings and case reviews, and submit timely reporting. Job Requirements University degree preferred in psychology, education, kinesiology, health sciences, rehabilitation, or related fields. Experience in vocational rehabilitation (employment planning, career counselling, and/or job search skills/job placement). Professional designation such as RRP, CVP, MCVP, CCRC, CRC, CVRP, CCVE, or eligibility to obtain a designation is an asset. Related experience with vocational assessments is an asset. Strong understanding of the local labour market. Valid driver’s license and a vehicle required to travel to various locations. WSIB/WSBC Requirements Post‑secondary education in any field; a completed or pursuing the following qualifications is an asset: Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) designation through the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Canadian Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor (CCRC) Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP) Return to Work Disability Manager (RTWDM) Minimum three years of experience in job development, employment services, recruiting, or human resources. Familiarity with job development, job searching, local provincial labour markets, interviewing skills, workplace accommodations, and return‑to‑work programming. High level of emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and awareness of barriers to success including learning limitations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and employment site navigation; comfortable with social media platforms for business in compliance with recruitment trends. Outstanding technical writing and verbal skills; effective virtual service delivery and stakeholder communication. Satisfactory clearance under a standard security background check. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
