Reporting to the HR Manager, this role would work closely with our leaders, and would be an integral part of our well-established HR Team.As HR Advisor, you will:Provide stellar HR service in support of team members in Lake Cowichan storeManage intricate workplace investigations and provide conflict resolution strategies; coach and empower our Department Managers and Store Manager through a progressive discipline processDevelop and lead Diversity, Inclusive, & Equality initiatives; foster an inclusive workplace culture for all Team MembersCollaborate with HR team members to merge best practices dealing with total compensation plans, recruitment, safety and strategic initiativesProcess short-term and long-term WorkSafeBC, medical and disability claims; facilitate leaves of absenceEnsure all actions comply with all provincial and federal employment legislation and regulationsStay up to date on best HR approaches to policies and proceduresAnd much moreQualifications:A degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience3+ years of progressive experience in an HR generalist capacityTech savvy and proficient in MS Office applications, Slack and ZoomIn-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practicesCPHR designation (or working towards) would be considered an assetPrevious experience supporting front-line employees in a fast-paced 7-day-per-week operational assetA proven track record of nurturing positive stakeholder relationships at all levelsLeads with kindness and empathy, working as a guiding light to foster a supportive and inclusive environmentWork Conditions:Office environment, full-time, 40 hours per weekAbout Us:Country Grocer has been a grocery provider for over 40 years on Vancouver Island.
