Local Chapter Lead – Hamilton Region (Hamilton, Ancaster, Dundas, Flamborough, Glanbrook, Stoney Creek, etc.) The Volunteer Well is a Canadian non‑profit connecting volunteers with those in need, empowering communities, promoting inclusivity, and fostering kindness through innovative programs, events, and partnerships. What you’ll be doing The Local Chapter Lead is the face of The Volunteer Well in their respective city/region and serves as a catalyst for relationship‑building, platform growth, and community mobilization. Working in alignment with the organization’s virtual‑first strategy, the Chapter Lead will spearhead one in‑person community event per month and engage in strategic outreach to local businesses, nonprofits, institutions, and municipal agencies. This role may involve occasional travel within the city, evening and weekend work for events, and requires a remote‑first work style. Key Responsibilities Introduce and promote The Volunteer Well platform and its Generosity Hub within the local community through outreach, demos, and one‑on‑one conversations. Facilitate user onboarding and provide support to new volunteers and recipients to ensure a smooth experience. Collect and share success stories and impact narratives that reflect local experiences. Champion the platform in neighbourhood forums, public discussions, and events. Build and maintain relationships with local nonprofits, small business owners, service clubs, and community leaders. Initiate and manage sponsorships and co‑promotional opportunities with community‑minded businesses and organizations. Cultivate collaborations with larger nonprofits, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and government agencies. Represent The Volunteer Well in municipal discussions, town halls, and community board meetings to elevate awareness. Organise and lead one monthly signature in‑person event to activate the community and introduce the platform. Partner with local venues, organisations, and volunteers to co‑host and support events. Gather community input and feedback to ensure events reflect neighbourhood needs and values. Encourage recurring participation and promote peer‑to‑peer referrals. Submit monthly reports to the central team on user acquisition, partner outreach, and event outcomes. Contribute to the development of best practices and toolkits through cross‑chapter collaboration. Participate in virtual planning and check‑in sessions with fellow Chapter Leads and national staff. Track and share data related to impact and partnership progress. What we’re looking for Minimum six months of proven experience in community outreach, nonprofit programming, or grassroots organising. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship‑building skills across sectors.Comfortable facilitating events, conducting outreach, and navigating local networks. Familiarity with your city/region’s social services, nonprofit landscape, and community groups. Self‑motivated, reliable, and aligned with the mission of inclusion, compassion, and shared responsibility. Why join us?
