The Health Analytics team drives cross-functional collaboration to deliver critical insights and reporting that power business decisions. Reporting to Manager, Data Analytics, the Data Analyst is responsible for meeting the day‑to‑day data, tools and system maintenance needs of our Group Underwriting department and provide general support for Health Analytics processes. Responsibilities Analyze data needs and design efficient reporting processes & dashboards Identify and participate in initiatives for process automation and optimization Develop innovative solutions for business challenges using critical thinking and problem‑solving skills Own, create and maintain documentation to support knowledge sharing and ensure appropriate backup coverage Engage in cross‑functional projects and facilitate knowledge exchange across departments Proactively manage access security through inquiries and lead annual access reviews across multiple systems, as well as support internal audits Ensure timely and accurate updates to routine reports and tools, including periodic maintenance, investigation and resolution of issues, and addressing questions Play a pivotal role in advancing our strategic technology roadmap by implementing AWS Cloud solutions (migration from on‑prem and new development) Qualifications & Competencies Technical skills: Tableau, Tableau Prep Builder, AWS Cloud Solutions, Python, SQL, very strong Excel skills (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.) Detail‑oriented: able to follow process notes, carefully preserve data integrity and ensure quality output with minimal to no errors/issues Communication skills: excellent collaboration with strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document processes Takes initiative: resourceful at problem solving and continually improving job processes and procedures. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team Adaptability: ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage time effectively to handle multiple tasks concurrently Bilingualism (French, English) required for Quebec only for frequent interactions with English and French‑speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide Additional Assets Familiar with Confluence Cloud, Jira Cloud, SharePoint Experience with on‑prem to Cloud migration Reliability Status As a condition of the role, the successful candidate must obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance through Sun Life.
