You’ll work closely with engineering, design, business stakeholders, and partners to deliver frictionless payment experiences for veterinary practices and pet parents.What You'll DoLead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of payment features including:Terminal POS devicesOnline checkout flowsText and email to payeWallet integrations (Apple Pay, Google Pay)Check capture & processingFeature flag management across payment environmentsCollaborate with an Agile pod of engineers, QA, and design to define product requirements and ship features on timeWork closely with the B2B dashboarding team to empower veterinary practices with self-service tools, performance insights, and granular controlsHelp shape B2C (B2X) servicing tools for pet parents, including transaction visibility and flexible payment optionsCollaborate with support, compliance, and operations to ensure payment reliability and regulatory readinessAct as the SME for all things payments, making data-driven decisions using both internal and external sourcesWhat We Are Looking ForDeep knowledge of payments: ACH, card networks, settlement flows, authorization retries, declines, reconciliation, fees, etc.Experience with payment gateway APIs and integrating 3rd-party processors (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Square)Familiarity with feature flagging, risk scoring, 3D Secure, fraud tools, and morePast ownership of terminal and online POS systems and/or omnichannel paymentsProven success working with cross-functional agile teamsStrong documentation and stakeholder communication skillsBig plus if you’ve worked in veterinary, healthcare, or care-adjacent industriesWhy You'll Love Working HereCompetitive base salary ranging from $145,000 - $165,000Scratch is a remote-first company, giving ultimate flexibility to today's nomadic work style.We offer unlimited PTO, covered healthcare, 401k match, cell plan reimbursement, and monthly recognition opportunities.We also provide learning platforms and resources for all to keep growing.Not only that, but we have an equity retention policy to ensure you grow as the company grows financially, as well.And if your family is growing, we offer generous parental leave, tooHow To ApplySubmit your resume.Answer the custom questions provided.Feel free to add any additional information or documents you believe are relevant to your application.Scratch is committed to diversity in its workforce and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
