Recreation Therapist - Crisis Critical Care Unit 4 Join to apply for the Recreation Therapist - Crisis Critical Care Unit 4 role at CAMH Job Description The Clinical Care Program is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Recreation Therapist to work in Crisis Critical Care Unit 4. Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will work with the interprofessional team to promote a holistic leisure lifestyle by contributing to the social, physical, spiritual, emotional and cognitive needs of clients. You will develop, plan, facilitate, schedule, organize and implement various therapeutic recreation programs. This will be accomplished by conducting assessments, developing individual recreation plans, completing patient documentation, skill instruction, development of program goals and objectives, and evaluating a variety of individual and group recreation programs. You will be expected to contribute to program development, research, and educational activities of the program. You will also provide supervision to students and will have flexibility in scheduling as evening and weekend work will be required. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. Job Requirements Degree or diploma in Recreation or Recreation Therapy or a post graduate certificate in Recreation. Good working knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and practices combined with at least one year experience working as a Recreation Therapist. Eligibility for Registration with Therapeutic Recreation Ontario. Ability to run groups, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to deal effectively with a culturally diverse and complex clientele. Reliable, cooperative, client focused, motivated team player who shows initiative. Experience working with individuals with mental illness and knowledge of the Ontario Review Board process. First Aid, CPR and Management of Aggressive Behaviour training desirable. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language an asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
