This opportunity would be particularly well suited to applicants with experience in progressive or collaborative contract types.KPMG’s Global Infrastructure Advisory team brings together a broad range of expertise that addresses all stages of the project lifecycle, covering strategy and planning, procurement, delivery and financing and operations and asset management. Working at KPMG, you will have the ability to work with our country-wide network of professionals and deliver positive outcomes for our clients on nationally significant projects.What You Will DoWork in a dynamic team environment to provide procurement, commercial and strategic infrastructure advice across various sectors with a particular focus on the front end of the project lifecycle (business case development and procurement)Contribute to the preparation of business cases, financial feasibility studies and market / sector analysesPrepare procurement strategies, informed by risk assessments and options analyses and validated through market soundingsDevelop procurement and contractual documentation, including request for qualification / proposal documentation, evaluation frameworks and commercial components of project agreementsSupport clients in the evaluation and negotiation stages of procurement processes.Develop and implement project governance, project management frameworks and related project delivery resourcesBring innovative thinking and problem solving to the challenges of major project planning and deliveryKeep across current market trends and developments, to the benefit of the team and our clientsUndertake project / engagement management and client communication and reportingOversee the contributions of junior advisory personnel, provide on the job training and mentoring and contribute to the overall skills enhancement and experience of the teamAssist in marketing and business development including proposal preparation and the development of client relationshipsWhat You Bring To The Role6+ years of relevant experienceExperience with large capital projects, including procurement and commercial advice.Knowledge of the project and program lifecycle activities supporting an infrastructure asset (Not IT projects)Experience developing and implementing procurement strategies for major projectsExperience with all contract types and particular with collaborative contracting models, such as alliancing and other ‘progressive’ modelsExperience in the application of commercial concepts to infrastructure procurement - including the development of risk allocations, payment mechanisms and incentive structuresAn ability to think critically, to manage ambiguity and synthesize advice into clear and succinct materials. This includes an ability to be flexible and adaptive to respond to client needsKPMG BC Region Pay Range InformationThe expected base salary range for this position is $85,500 to $127,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
