Mental Health/Psychotherapist, Occupational Therapist – Modern OT Position: Permanent Full-Time/Part-Time/Independent Contractor Hours: Flexible with caseload; hybrid work environmentAvailable work Locations: Kingston/Belleville/Trenton Develop your potential. Make a difference. Modern OT is a community-based occupational therapy practice servicing Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Established in 1998, Modern OT has grown to be a team with more than 40 OTs, has broadened virtual and group therapy services, and has established OT clinics in Ottawa, Kingston, and Pembroke. In 2022, Modern OT partnered with Lifemark Health Group, which has led to further expansion of services offered to clients, including veterans and Canadian Forces members, First Responders, and other individuals facing physical and mental health barriers to their daily life. This role can involve working directly with clients in the community, in clinic, or virtually. Caseloads include a range of functional assessments and treatment interventions. Special Consideration will be given to occupational therapists with experience in mental health and psychotherapy. We can offer psychotherapy supervision through our dedicated Clinical Leadership Team to assist with professional development and regular practice support in this area. What you need to succeed? As one of the largest networks of OTs in the nation, you will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, delivering high-quality, client-centered care across multiple clinics, or specific clinic and community settings. Key skills and qualifications include: Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Mental health OT and/or OT Psychotherapy experience Clinical experience is an asset in areas such as brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, home safety, and/or return to work. Proficiency in computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for community appointments.
