Job DescriptionEataly is the world’s largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace Eataly is not a chain; each Eataly is different, with its own character and own theme – but all with the same aim... for our guests to:SHOP a selection of high-quality Italian, local and homemade productsLEARN through our classes and our team’s product knowledgeEAT authentic Italian food at our restaurants, cafés and to-go countersThe Sous Chef – Central Kitchen supervises and coordinates the production of high-quality, authentic Italian dishes in one of Eataly’s exciting, high-volume, open kitchen restaurants.Key responsibilities include:Supervising and coordinating activities related to food preparation, kitchen and storage areasParticipating in menu planning and actively managing food productionTraining and working alongside cooks to ensure quality, speed, safety and health standards are consistently metOrganizing food production for all Eataly Canada locationsRequisitioning and apportioning food items and utilizing food surpluses to control food costsAssisting with scheduling and payroll processing as requestedDocumenting, investigating, escalating and resolving employee or guest incidentsRequirements:5+ years of back of house experience, including 3+ years of management experienceExcellent communication skillsOutstanding organizational skillsExcellent knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptlyAdvanced computer skillsBachelor’s Degree or degree from post-secondary culinary arts program preferredBenefits include:Medical, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental LeaveRRSPBonus programFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyClasses on products and Italian cuisineReferral bonus programEataly is committed to creating and maintaining a workplace that is free from harassment and discrimination under the Ontario Human Rights Code. #J-18808-Ljbffr
