THE ROLE:

As the Senior HR Generalist, you’ll be the Director’s trusted partner, playing a central role in shaping Tefron’s people strategy and elevating the employee experience. In this senior-level role, you’ll bring both your HR expertise and your passion for people to support the team’s daily needs while driving impactful projects. Whether launching new initiatives, enhancing onboarding, or developing growth programs, you’ll make a meaningful difference in our culture and work environment. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

Employee Relations:

  • Act as a trusted advisor, managing and resolving complex employee relations issues with sensitivity, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies and employment laws.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on interpersonal challenges, communication skills, and best practices for collaboration.
  • Promote open lines of communication across the organization, encouraging feedback and ensuring employees feel supported and heard.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Support the recruitment process by sourcing, screening, and selecting qualified candidates to meet the company's talent needs.
  • Lead onboarding for new hires, ensuring a smooth and engaging introduction to the company’s culture and operations.
  • Develop a recruitment strategy that leverages diverse sourcing channels, including online platforms, social media, professional networks, and referrals.

Policy Development & Compliance:

  • Partner with the HR Director to update, implement, and enforce company policies and procedures in compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.
  • Conduct training sessions to educate employees on policies, procedures, and legal compliance, including respect in the workplace, workplace harassment, and diversity.

HR Administration & Reporting:

  • Oversee HR data management, ensuring accuracy in employee records, benefits, and payroll information.
  • Prepare regular HR metrics and reports for management review, assisting in workforce planning and strategy development.

Employee Engagement & Culture Initiatives:

  • Lead employee engagement programs to boost morale, enhance communication, and reinforce the company's commitment to a supportive work environment.
  • Support and actively participate in initiatives to uphold a positive company culture aligned with organizational goals.

Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs and partner with internal/external trainers to deliver development programs.
  • Support the planning and facilitation of company-wide training, particularly on topics like respect, civility, and teamwork.

Ad Hoc Requests and Special Projects:

  • Respond to ad hoc requests from employees and management related to HR, payroll, and benefits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and contribute to special projects within the HR department.
  • Manage and execute additional tasks and projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an HR specialist and/or recruitment professional.
  • Proven experience in payroll administration in Canada, experience with US payroll an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of recruitment practices, sourcing techniques, and selection methods.
  • Familiarity with HR policies, employment laws, and regulations, US employment law and practice an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and external partners.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and other HR software tools.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
