Davies North America is looking for a Risk Control Consultant to work on an independent contractor basis. The role focuses on Property and Casualty Insurance-based inspection work and consultative projects that reduce risks, exposures, and claims. Overview Davies is one of the largest providers of Insurance Inspections, Risk Control Consulting, and Loss Control. The company is experiencing tremendous growth and is looking for experienced independent contractor specialists in Fire Protection, Loss Prevention, Risk Control, and Mitigation. Industries Served Manufacturing Construction Healthcare Agriculture Non-profits Contractors Fleet Operators Woodworking Broker Programs Logistics and Warehousing Qualifications Progressive career advancement and technical skills through continuing education, a degree in Fire Protection, a B.Sc., an M.Sc., or equivalent. Professional designations of EIT, P.Eng., CRM, CRSP, CIT, CIP are highly desirable. Strong working knowledge and success in applying skills in two or more of the following areas: HPR / large property, Business Interruption Construction related operations Commercial Fleet Operations General Liability, Products Liability, Life Safety Environmental Assessments Safety Training, Workplace Safety, Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene Hazard Analysis and Consulting Additional Helpful Criteria: Ability to travel throughout Ontario. Certified instructor/trainer and presentation skills desirable. Completion of insurance institute courses. These positions require: Bi-lingual preferred – English & French. Consultative and client‑service approach. Self‑management, personal drive, and pride in work. Ability to write clear, concise, comprehensive reports. Computer skills including typical office software packages. Ability to operate a vehicle and visit client policyholders on site. Some overnight travel when needed.
