Electrical Engineer - Substation Testing & Commissioning (T&C) As an electrical engineer, you will lead and/or actively participate in new substation or substation refurbishment projects. You will be involved in the engineering of high-power switchgear and will have the opportunity to showcase your technical skills on electrical projects in our energy sector. The role offers a flexible hybrid work model (work from home and from one of our offices in Quebec). You will work in collaboration with the CEPs, technicians and drafters on the team, and coordinate with other disciplines involved in our projects. Primary Responsibilities Design electrical power systems and their layout for various substation projects Participate in detailed engineering for production of schematics, switchgear layout plans and earthing plans Prepare project deliverables such as plan views, elevations, detail drawings, miscellaneous layouts, diagrams, specifications, lists, etc. Carry out or validate studies and calculations for sizing equipment, selecting gauges, laying power cables, auxiliary services, lightning protection, etc. Select equipment and quantify quantities Coordinate electrical equipment work with other related engineering disciplines (structural, civil, control and protection, mechanical, building engineering, architectural) Coordinate the project with the client(s) Qualifications University Degree in electrical engineering Member of l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible for registration More than five (5) years of relevant experience Knowledge of Hydro-Québec or other public utility standards Knowledge of substation switchgear engineering Fluency in written and spoken French Knowledge of relevant standards and design codes, including the Québec Electrical Code Resourceful, motivated, enthusiastic, project-oriented with a strong desire to succeed Why choose CIMA+?
