OverviewTitle: Business Intelligence AnalystDuration: 6+ MonthsMaximum Extension Term (Months): 6Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Remote)It is anticipated the role will be 100% remote, however in the event of an onsite meeting, the GoA does not pay for travel to attend on-site meetings, nor any expenses related to relocation, commuting, housing/accommodation, food/drink.Working Hours:• Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province• Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues.The successful candidate will be a Business Intelligence Analyst with a diverse range of analytical skills and experience in working in multi-faceted roles. The role may have aspects of any or all of the following: data analysis, data modelling, statistical analysis, data governance, data science, data quality, advising, business analysis, data product design and delivery. DutiesProvides hands-on business intelligence support on the strategic data initiatives that are being undertaken as part of the Data Strategy. A critical responsibility is to translate data into actionable business insights that support strategic decisions by creating dashboards, reports and business KPIs. Services and project deliverables should evolve as the work progresses, in response to emerging user and business needs, as well as design and technical opportunities. Works with Manager Analytics Capability Centre to:Deliver business intelligence capabilities to support internal and external client needsDevelop data products based on various data setsAnalyze data and prepare resultsGather and document client requirementsDesign and develop data productsCapture business and technical metadata for data productsPerform data analysis, data quality audits/reviews, statistical analysis and data miningDevelop and share data models and productsDevelop baseline and ongoing outcomes, key results, metrics, and other indicators.Apply skills to provide insights, support decision-making and facilitate strategic business planningIntegrate both quantitative and qualitative data to create business insightsDesign and create dashboards and custom reporting with various data sources and inputsEscalate issues and risks, as appropriateWork within a multi-vendor/staff environmentEquipmentResource will require own equipment #J-18808-Ljbffr
